Dryslwyn Castle

Went for a walk up Dryslwyn Castle (pronounced "Drisloin"), which lies roughly half way between Carmarthen and Llandeilo along the Towy Valley in SW Wales.

It started off as a lovely sunny day with blue skies, but on climbing to the top we turned around to be faced with a fast-approaching storm which hit us just as we got back to the carpark.

I had a play with the panoramic mode on my new Olympus XZ-1 which I've added to my blipfolio, so have a look to get a sense of the place. The castle dates from the 1220s and more information about its history can be found here.

I do like all the castle in this part of Wales...
