All about the wind

No nothing to do with the sprouts, we have got over that already!!!

Today has seen Scotland and other parts of the UK battered by some terrible winds. FaceBook has been a feast of stories (most of them not good) and photos showing the damage caused by the wind:

- Trees felled
- House windows blown in
- Fences collapsing
- Sheds blown over
- Lorries overturned
- Tiles getting dislodged from roofs (and causing further damage)
- Chimneys breaking and falling

Fasted wind recorded in Edinburgh at 102mph. I think some folk would rather have the snow back rather than this wind.

We have been let off as the worst for us was unable to walk wee Cookie, various gardening items blowing about the garden (pictured) and a hanging basket being ripped off the wall (pulled the raw plug out). Insurance companies are going to earn their money this week and show how bad their customer service generally is (I know that is what is going to be on FB for the next few weeks).

I also managed Day 2 on the treadmill, got a second wind after about 20 mins. Back to work tomorrow, not sure if I have a second wind for that though. I might have blown myself out by then.
