train/storm saga finally ends in an early evening journey south

up early and through a storm-lashed city to find all trains cancelled so after a fruitless wait we headed home herding with us a friend found in the waiting room.

endless cups of tea and three games of Cluedo as we waited for news

then a dash to the station with a hungover irn bru drinking friend who rescued us from another fruitless wait on a rainy street corner

and finally the train..
