AMAZING

On the 8 December I posted a Black-billed gull seemingly Hydrating itself flying along - you could see the water circulating in its bill ! ( you need to look at it !!)

Today I started to solve the mystery - This shot clearly shows small fish escaping the gull as it runs ( this time ) along the surface doing the same scooping action. It appears ther gull is not after the fish but the stuff on the surface that the fish are feeding on - SO: I can only assume the gulls action is a feeding one - Some thought it was drinking - but I'm pretty sure its feeding on the same little morsels the fish are feeding on - I was amazed to see the fish so clearly !
