Apropos of the politics of 2011 - which look to be those of 2012 as well - I found this on the wall of a warehouse near Coxes Creek Park in Grey Lynn: An intimidating figure with gun and badge, the cartoon hands above reaching out to take while the other forms a fist.

I cropped the image to make it square and to focus on the image of 'robocop'; to the left is the floating head of Darth Vadar.
