Sun on the window

I'm staying in the warm today, in the hope that it will cure my cough. Instead of my usual Saturday walk, I'm reading a book, The Creative Photography Handbook by Lee Frost.

It does have many good ideas, although it is firmly based in the film age. So he talks about re-photographing transparencies and messing with developing solutions. I suppose when these things were hard to do they had real value. The corresponding digital tricks are more commonplace, and perhaps less interesting for that reason.

Meanwhile the sun was shining on the window and reminding me that the windows haven't been cleaned in months.
