The view from Granddad's hospital window

Back to the hospital this morning have done the shopping for G'dad and collected clothes and things that he needs.

They allowed us to visit for 30 minutes, even though officially we should not have been allowed in. We saw the physio who has given him his exercises and instructions for the start of his rehab. He is very keen to do as she asks, so fingers crossed he will manage more than 2 yards next time!!

We have secured G'dads house and collected the things he wants stored for safekeeping.

Prior to the 4 hr journey home, we stopped off at the pub for a sandwich. Menu looks good enough for repeat visits. Said we will see them in two weeks when we next visit.

G'dad has at last recognised that he will not be able to live alone so is considering a move into a residential home. We would like him to be near us, but doubt if he will consider it.

Good journey home, exhausted!!
