Marwick white water

The NW winds have pushed great numbers of Arctic gulls to British coasts. I went up to Marwick and saw three Iceland gulls and two glaucous gulls. The wind made birdwatching, photography and even standing up pretty difficult. Apart from the frequent hail showers, the air was full of spray and spume from the raging sea. Fortunately the Fishermans' Huts at Sand Geo, which are of stone and huddled into the land, provide an excellent shelter and spot to make coffee.
