Finally a reasonable picture of our cat, achieved after several fruitless efforts. Taken with a manual Helios 58mm lens attached to the micro 4/3 camera, giving an effective focal length of 116mm. The depth of field at f2 is pleasingly shallow -- her head is slightly angled and one eye is in focus while the other is not.
Manual focus was greatly aided by the zoom facility of the live screen. I find this vital for manual work.
I also found that exposure compensation of about +1.33 stops has managed to render the fur something other than amorphous black at last.
