Out with the old

It barely seems believable that it's 6 weeks since we were in the middle of the Christmas Tree festival (see blips for 25/26/27 Nov)

Was at church today practising the organ for tomorrow and saw the pile of trees outside and thought how poignant they looked. All of that effort to make them look fabulous and now they are just rubbish.

Guess it may be a metaphor for leaving the rubbish behind as the new year turns and looking ahead with hope.
