Brocolli queen of Gavinton

We moved here in March and the garden was under concrete slabs and layers of polythene So I reckon Jane has done pretty well. The first thing Jane did when we arrived was to plant 7 fruit trees, all of which appreciate the thought and each has a small gift of fruit growing now.
This is the first of what appears to be a mad amount of brocolli.
We are eating lettuces, radishes, Broad beans, courgettes, garlic (green garlic -mmmm), cabbages, carrots, beetroot, turnip, red chard, strawberries, goosegogs, blackcurrents, rhubarb, loads of herbs and other stuff too.
The 1st tomatoes are about the size of a small lentil, the tatties are getting there, as are the peas.
The sweet corn is looking sweet and corny and the runner beans are sort of jogging along - not really running. Onions are bigging it up, swedes are full of themselves. Cauli's - Jane said "Iv'e planted cauliflowers, I don't even like cauliflowers!"
