Wild

On our last couple of holidays, we've started a mini-tradition of going to a park or zoo on George's birthday. And while it won't be his birthday during our stay here, we decide to visit the nearby safari park anyway.

Actually, this giant tortoise was in the zoo area rather than the safari park (you can't imagine he'd be too nifty at dodging cars). There's also a dinosaur park - though unfortunately (as George is disappointed to find out) they're not alive. His favourite is "the smiley one" ... which is an unusual description for a T. Rex.

Stopped off in Sirmione on the way home, which is on a narrow peninsula - so restaurants on both sides of the main street offer lakeside views.
