Day 1 - Sandwiches at Munich Hauptbahnhof

This was the scene at the Munich Hauptbahnhof (central station) half an hour before our train left for Jenbach. Our journey had gone very smoothly; flight from Edinburgh on time, then 40 minutes by S-Bahn from the airport to the station. This was great as it meant that we caught the EC 83 Munich - Verona express and didn't have to change trains. 90 minutes later we were in Jenbach, where we had a 40 minute wait for our free bus connection to Pertisau.

I was a bit glum at Munich, as there wasn't a bit of snow in sight and it was raining lightly. Ditto the first half of the train journey; then as if by some Harry-Potterish goings-on, we crossed into Austria, and there was snow.... (see tomorrow's entry).
