Sub-standard Accommodation

We booked into a well-known motel group tonight because it was convenient....

Oh boy....!!!

The pillows were flat, the light shade was missing revealing bare contacts, the door lock was broken, black mould was growing around the bath and taps, the TV was so old that you couldn't use it without giving your ears pain, the place hadn't been PAT tested in some time (2003 according to the labels) and the bathroom radiator had been "disconnected for your safety" as it was broken revealing bare wires so the sign above it (above) was rather optimistic ....!

The place was freezing when we arrived as the window was wide open and the radiator switched off ... we did book in advance.

On the plus side, the room did eventually warm up and the water was hot.

I guess you get what you pay for ... a £19 offer was a reflection of the quality experienced but I can't believe that this huge company could really think that people would think about giving them any repeat business!!

I REALLY hope no-one ever has to use the room if they've paid full-price!!

They sent an email a week later asking for feedback ..... hmmmmmm where do I start!!
