100

One hundred years ago today the first stones were thrown at the newly formed Craigie Hill Curling Club.

Many things have changed since then. Like the clothing and the sideburns. The biggest difference though is the disappearance of our actual outdoor curling pond. These days we play all our matches indoors and have done since 1936, when the main ice rink opened in Perth.

So today, one hundred years later, a group of the current members gathered on the spot (or as near as we could), followed by a grand centenary lunch at the nearby golf club.

Here's to the next 100 years.
