Truly Blippin' Marvelous

By JohnEdward

Petticoat, Plow and Gun.

This is the statue that cast yesterday's shadow.

Cribbed from the plinth: A tribute to the pioneers of Arizona and the southwest who trod this ground and braved the dangers of the Apaches and other warrior tribes.

And from the nearby tablet: This ten foot high, five ton sculpture cast by St Louis sculptor August Leimbach is one of twelve identical monuments to the bold spirit of the pioneers erected 1928-29 along the National Old Trails Road from Maryland to California.

Steeleye Span White Man. Diplomatically missing a few lyrics from the version I know.

No shadows today. The weather is overcast and snowy.
