Coal Tax Post no. 103

Coal Tax Post no. 103

Spotted this whilst out on a run and didn't know what it was. Drove past later on, took a photo and after a bit of' googling' found out it was a 'Coal Tax post'

Coal tax posts are iron posts or granite obelisks that were erected after 1861 to mark the boundary of London (England) for taxation purposes. They form a ring around the city at about a 15/20 mile radius. About 200 are still in existence.
