Washday

In the fifties of the 20th century life was rather structured in the Lowlands at the sea. I remember the Monday as 'washday', Wednesday as 'meatball' day and Friday as 'fish' day.

Nowadays we wash every day, eat meatballs when we want and do we consume fish on the market at the stall or in a restaurant.

For the little people nothing's changed. Monday's still washday. Here you see some women hanging out the laundry in the pale rays of the Monday afternoon sun ... ;)
