Mackerel Skies

These were the skies this morning looking north from Dixon Park Beach. I really don't recall seeing Mackerel skies quite like these and now am wondering what it would have been like at dawn. They really took up most of the sky. Oh well. Note to self to make an effort again to get up early.

The tide seemed highish this morning and the waves were perfect long rolling waves. Surfers kept arriving from no where including kids in groups (still on holidays) but where I was, the long boards ruled the waves. A delicious Summer day today, the humidity seems to have left us.

I really associate Mackerels with Rick Stein's Padstow but that is another story.
