St Andrew's House

I took the opportunity to show my support for the campaign to encourage the government to keep up investment in walking and cycling. Saw a couple of old friends.

There was a very good, well behaved turnout, with representatives from Spokes, WWF, the World Development Movement amongst others. And the nice policeman who asked me to step onto the pavement for my own safety, was very polite too.

Keith Brown MSP stood on a step ladder and told us that 'hard decisions had to be made' and 'it is good to see such an excellent turn out', and he would 'take our concerns back with him'.

In other words the decision has already been made and there is no money anyway.

Went down to the charity bookshop to discover a single donation of something like 3000 books needs to be sorted and shelved. Somewhere. Lord knows where....
