Station

On the way home from the big smoke this afternoon there was big earthquake. I'd just given my seat on the train up for a woman with a baby when the earthquake alarms went off, and I stood at the door of the train watching the train station signs sway and listening to the building groan as it moved. There's a strange kind of silence that falls over people in this kind of situation where they are stuck halfway between doing something and doing nothing at all that is quite unsettling.

Anyway, the earthquake was big but not that big so the train set off a few minutes later, but it certainly puts a full stop in your day.
