The Shore, Leith

The Shore in Leith, is a rather nice part of town for a stroll and a bite to eat or a drink, there are some top quality restaurants. There's an interesting mixture of old and new architecture and I'll no doubt be returning many times to take more pictures.

The large circular tower on the left hand side of the picture sits on the corner of Tower Street and The Shore was built by Robert Mylne in 1686 and was originally a windmill for pressing rape-seed oil.
