I had high hopes of the Scottish Chef of the Year 2011.

I had heard great things.

And the starter did not dissapoint. Pidgeon done to perfection.

Shame about the main course.

The pork belly was so dry it could have been shoe leather I'm afraid.

At least they didn't charge for it.

Dessert was a lovely Creme Brulee and the selection of wines was very good.

If only the main meal had lived up to the wonderful ambiance.

Never mind, will try somewhere else next week.

Any recommendations?
