Steps

read this on a greeting many many years ago but still vaguely remember it.

when I looked back, on the sands of time, I found a pair of footprints along with mine. I was wondering who's been following me. I asked God and he said "I was always there with you to take care of you, my child!" then I noticed the part of the path that was thorny, rough and difficult. I could see the second pair of footprints no more. I asked God "what happened here? You deserted me when I needed you the most?" "No my child...those are the times when I carried you"

Guess the same could be said for parents.
