Here's the birdie!

The first blip of one of the visitors to the bird feeding station I got for Christmas!

It's not a great shot by any means. But it's my first one and it's made me appreciate how much effort the fantastic bird blippers on here must put into getting their excellent photographs - this coal tit was extremely fast!

The learning curve is pointing straight upwards on this one :-)

Oh, and haven't bird identification methods come a long way since I was given a copy of the Hamlyn guide, Spotting Birds, as a child. Reprinted 1978, with a cover price of £1.50, the drawing of a coal tit looks nothing like my blip of one! Give me the RSPB bird identifier any day!
