Sunbeams

A single rosehip

We had our first real frost of the winter this morning accompanied by thick fog, but after lunch the sun was shining and no longer could we stay indoors.

Looking for inspiration I espied a few catkins, seedheads of the stinking iris, sunlit views of the farm, a dew bedecked feather .... and finally plumped for this, a rosehip, bulging with vitamin C and goodness and waiting for that hungry bird.
