Something medical - again.

Had a routine breast screening appointment this afternoon. For my appointments in previous years I have had to make a long journey by bus to the nearest hospital. This time it was 2 short bus journeys to a newly opened Primary Care Centre.

Lovely modern place and very efficient. I was in and out in no time.

The Centre serves a dual purpose - Primary Care including minor injury unit, X ray dept, speech therapy, breast screening, podiatry, audiology etc and in the same building there is a Leisure Centre. It has a gym, 2 swimming pools, fitness classes and other activities.

Its rather strange to turn up for a medical appointment and find yourself walking past a swimming pool with large glass windows.

My blip shows the Centre with a group of schoolchildren queuing up to go in - presumably for a swimming lesson.

As you can tell by the lovely blue sky we had nice weather today - sunny and mild. Not a bit like January.
