Magic Fire Starters

My mother and I went on a pinecone hunt this afternoon. I learned from a friend that just a few pinecones in my wood-burning stove would start it so easily! I have been using these magic fire starters since I started building fires this fall and they are MAGNIFICENT! The only problem--I've used up all the pinecones from the ponderosa pines in my yard!

So, after scouting around on my walks, I discovered 2 very large ponderosa pines at the park east of my house. There were LOTS of pinecones under these trees, so I decided no one would miss the pinecones I picked up to start my fire. This is just a few!
