The moon over a frosty hedge

I couldn't resist stopping on my way home from the pool this morning. I pulled over into the layby near to Pipe Hall Heathland and just enjoyed the crispness and sheets of crinkly white frost on the hedges and plants.

It was -5 when I went into the pool. Don't worry - it's heated and the steam was swirling and I was sure Excalibur might rise from the depths in the darkness. Sheer magic (and supposedly good for you)

I'm going to see my football team, Nottingham Forest, this afternoon. We're having a dismal season so please wish us luck

p.s.

I was chopping some veg when I noticed that the jay from last year was back on the bird table

Hello, Jay. Welcome back.
