All Souls

A church with a round tower and spire
Reaching up from the street and much higher
It's quite nicely lit
And makes a good fit
I bet it sounds good with a choir.

All Souls, Langham Place. Next door to Broadcasting House, where we'd been to see a brilliant edition of The Verb being recorded, featuring Eliza Carthy (folky singer-songwriter), John Cooper Clarke (performance poet), Simon Armitage (reading from his translation of The Death of King Arthur) and Joe Bone (telling a bit of a parody of a hard-boiled detective story). Should be available on iPlayer for the next few days).
