The story of a green house

The story about this ellipse shaped building in the middle of Stockholm by "Slussen" and close to Old Town, is that it was built for the Harbour Offie, Port Workers Union and staff areas for the port workers. From the lower floor was proclaimed today's job four times a day and dock workers were distributed here in the indwelling vessels.

Today there is an architect office on the upper floor and a gay club in the lower.

All this was new to me until today!

(Slussen (the Lock) is an area of central Stockholm, connecting Södermalm and The Old Town. The area is named after the locks between Lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. The locks themselves allow passage between these two bodies of water (of different levels). The Slussen metro station is a hub of public transport in Stockholm.

Soon the whole area is to be rebuilt and this house will be no more.
