The Disciples of Gonzo, rocking hard

The Disciples of Gonzo close a fine and sweaty 2 hour set a couple of minutes after midnight at The Wheatsheaf, Leighton Buzzard. Fine strong rock, punk, metal, and some that is very hard to characterise. OK: loud.

The first set was mostly their new album, "Welcome to the D.o.G House". Accessible / available here. (Notice: explicit site and lyrics.) http://www.disciplesofgonzo.com. Second set - mostly covers. Which, in some cases, the original artists would recognise!

With a song about Kit's wife ("Bletchley girl", on the album); about their daughter ("It's all for you", for the next Album); and about both having and then being a father ("Dad", again for the next album); it got a bit weepy. I've never been sung about before. Gulp.

I'll leave the swans in peace today.

Have a very good Sunday.
