Hogueras de San Anton

The town of Maro celebrated their patron Saint, San Anton this weekend. The locals celebrated by becoming arsonists for the night. Large fires, or "Hogueras", we lit in the streets. The biggest being outside the church. I'm amazed they didn't burnt the place down.

I love the way the flames dance up to the sky, revealing a wizard like figure. Maybe it's San Anton, rising from the flames to oversee his party.
