Standing firm

A small copse close to Ascot racecourse is blighted by disease and wind damage with the many trees uprooted by storms lying next to the still upright but rotting carcasses of once proud elms. In a centre stands one specimen defiantly doing its own thing with branches shooting out in all directions, I haven't done it justice in this shot but will visit it again soon in the hope of showing it in a better light!
