Cognac

A very lazy day today. Got up late, eat lunch, watched a couple of fly boys in the sky and read our books in the sun. Mmmmm - that's it!

This evening we went to the local vineyard/distillery and sampled their wares: Wine (White - Sauvignon, very dry indeed ; Red - Merlot - full bodied and tasty, but too much tannin for me ; Pineau - lovely stuff, white and rose, a rival for port ; Cognac - we tried a very smooth 25 year old - very smooth and I liked it). In typical french fashion, it was less tasting and more drinking! We ended up buying two bottles of the Pineau for 16 Euros and hoping we can wrap them enough for the journey home. The view from the vineyard across the fields was gorgeous - and not just because I'd just drank this :-)
