Sunbeams

Primrose

Another bright and sunny day. N and I and Tess went for a walk round the farm this afternoon and found a few primroses (Primula vulgaris) nestling in a bank under a hedge. Primula, meaning "first rose" because of its early flowering, are only supposed to appear in March! I just hope future frosts this spring will not kill them off. They wont have much luck with early pollination this year since there are not many insects about.

T, still snuffling with his cold, has been retagging an animal this afternoon. It had lost the big yellow one and will be going to market next week. Everything has to be present and correct when the carrier arrives to collect the steers.
