Aftermath

After the calm of yesterday's sea, a reminder of how powerful it can be. On January 3rd, Largs was hit by the worst storm since 1998. The sea was so angry that it ripped up part of the North Promenade. Some people reported that they'd never seen waves so high.

There was a lot of damage around the town, including in our front garden where our beautiful Monterey pine snapped in half and ended up on top of my husband's car. Fortunately he wasn't in it!
