I used to have a hedge

I planted a 50 tree hedge a long time ago after my fence blew down.
The last two winters froze it to death so it was time to remove and replace it.
I spoke to my neighbour and he agreed to remove the hedge when it was convenient.
Today must have been convenient.
It was a surprise to see it gone.

A new beech hedge will be getting planted at some time soon
