As well as learning to roll safely sideways off the sofa and to fall without hurting himself (though not without sometimes wailing for the sake of it) the fascination with whatever item in the immediate environment which it would be the biggest pain in the arse for him to be fascinated by seems to be waning, resulting in only a cursory examination of the plugs and wires off to the left of the bed and almost no interest whatsoever in even attempting to look on the top of the chest of drawers, where a short inspection would have revealed a pair of scissors and a tube of cracked-heel cream. He still occasionally gives the lampshade a bat or pointedly looks over at us whilst slapping the side of the telly but the point can be seen where we'll think it's safe to start leaving things within reach, at which point I expect to find after looking away for a second that he's suddenly strong enough to climb up onto the sideboard and roll the plant pot off onto the carpet.
