Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton was speaking at a conference in New York today on his humanitarian work. Was so far away!

Very interesting to hear his thoughts on the US economy and environmental/energy issues. Especially liked his view that when looking to solve problems in the world it's as much about how you approach the problem as what you do.

He was referring to talks he'd witnessed in Brazil which brought together various parties with interests in the Amazon rainforest (oil companies, tribal leaders, ethanol producers, etc). They were friendly to each other and respected each other's viewpoints while wanting to solve the problems.

From his experience as US president, similar energy talks in Washington would never see different interest groups interacting in this way.
