Octopus

I taught a letterpress class this weekend. I hosted two very talented artists as we walked through the process of carving and printing linoleum, setting lead type and running an antique press. Each lady printed a run of 25 cards and shared samples.

We had a ball.

The lady that carved the octopus wanted to play with wood type. There were some difficulties in spacing and lock-up, but the results were worth it. She remarked that as long as it took to set up the press it was a shame to only print 25!
