Which way to go?

Went for a walk along the Union Canal today and arrived at this dilema.

Myself and Whitey junior (senior) wanted to turn left to see what was beyond the archway. (I told him there might be trolls which may have influenced his decision).

However the other half of the family wanted to stick to the path, using the trusted '...we can't take the pushchair up there' excuse.

As ever, the other half won.
