Baking some Brownies

I'm so happy I get to see a day in the life of a typical (I think typical..) Peace Corp Volunteer. My dear friends have a very lovely house with intermittent electricity (it's mostly on though- they are lucky!) and a toilet (they have to add the water themselves, but trust me, I was really happy it wasn't a latrine!) For dinner we hand-cooked spaghetti with garlic bread and these brownies. Stacey's oven is a series of buckets, but it works pretty well! I mean, I enjoyed the chocolatey-ness! It's a different life, but it's what you can do with your own hands and you have a lot of down time for reading, writing, and relaxing.
