shotlandka's weebig world

By shotlandka

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it!

Spent some of today taking photos for work, we're relaunching our website in a few weeks and need some decent pics of various things, and while we have a reasonable number of pictures and stories from projects that we support, we actually have very few of what we actually get up to in Scotland. One thing we do is encourage people to collect their small change in our catchily named blue tubs. I think I've said this on blip before, but our creativity is not really being tapped here. Last time these were blipped (though I am VERY much more pleased with this shot than that last one) Goatee suggested 'Light Spectrum Dominated By Energy With A Wavelength of Roughly 440-490 nm Donation Recepticles' but for some reason we're sticking with blue tubs. So between various combinations of the different sticker designs on the blue tubs, money, a hand putting money in (still very not happy with those shots, lighting is very difficult), and shots of our new green wristbands (get us with the creative titles!) and some of the lovely fairly traded goods from Thailand and Myanmar for sale in our shop, it's been a fun photography day.

I was also out at a church meeting in between photography sessions, thinking about the organisations and people we as a church support, whether in the UK or overseas, such a privilege to be involved in so many ministries, but need to be more focused (initial decisions made there already) and to get better at getting the whole congregation to feel part of what is going on. Any advice with the latter issue welcome!

Apologies for the lack of comments, it's that time of year. I never want to look at a spreadsheet again. Sadly I can't see that happening! Hope to catch up tomorrow.

PS In a cheeky response to the first comment received, not so virtual fivers (or any other sum!) accepted here! :)
