Multitasking

For some reason I thought, that studying and taking self portraits at the same time, would make sense. It doesn't. Or least you learn more of photography than of anything you might be reading.

I've never really liked split lighting. I've always thought it is just a dramatic way to light someone for a mysterious feel to him or her. Then I picked up a book telling the story of Bachrach Studios and how a great portion of their business was based on the almost shadowless yet painterly light patterns of split lighting.
