Devil's Burdens Relay Race

My friend, Cali and I ran the first leg of the Devil's Burden Race this morning. It's a relay race with four legs and is still going on as I write. I wonder if any other Blippers are taking part today?

There are two start times for slower and faster runners. Our team is in the slower category, so we started at 9:30 from Falkland, straight up East Lomond Hill. This is a photo of the first batch of runners approaching the summit. I took three photos over a couple of minutes and each photo has a clearer sky. In this one the clouds have disappeared and the sky seems very blue . The sun is still shining now :o). From East Lomond Hill, we enjoyed a fast and slippery run down to Easter Glassie Farm and Ballo Reservoir, on to Holl Reservoir and the handover at West Balgothrie.

We had just enough time to change into dry warm clothes and drink some tea, before the fast runners started coming in. There were nine teams from our running club taking part, so there were lots of people to photo and shout encourage to. We'll find out tonight from the website how our teams got on.

Have a great day, everyone!
