Beginning of the end

I was one the first employees in the Digital Imaging div, our brand was Kodak Digital Science.

Kodak's sales peaked in 1996; the year I left to start a business around digital imaging. Our sales exploded as soon as we left the bureaucratic embrace of the Kodak behemoth, similar story for nearly all my colleagues and divisions over subsequent years.

Large companies inevitably destroy value and jobs through increased efficiency, small companies create jobs; governments should learn this lesson well.
