The best thing about January

This has to be my favourite thing about January - Seville oranges. These sour oranges that are available for such a short window in January make the most divine orange marmalade. Well MY marmalade is divine even if I say so myself.

We have restricted ourselves this year to two batches rather than four like last year. This should see us through the whole year.

My jam pan was a present from my Granny, she gave it to me a long time before I started making jam. I wish she could know how much I now use it and that with every use I think about her and all the happy memories I have of her. Thanks Gran xxx.
