Bee boles

In most books about Scottish graveyards, West Linton's graveyard's main claim to fame are the bee boles set into the surrounding walls. This was probably because the walls were originally part of the manse garden and the beehives which would have been put into these places provided honey for the minister and his family.
It was a busy day and I stopped off on my way home to grab this picture. The view through is of West Linton's Lower Green.
