The Cons and the sacrifice

A study in reflections in Chorley town centre - (Almost) all sale items £10 or less... and a reflection of Barnardo's and your very own Notebooker.

Meanwhile, on The Today Programme this morning, Michael Portillo was talking about capitalism and philanthropy (here). Portillo said:

"...I think some of these politicians - David Cameron, Nick Clegg... these are people who themselves have made a sort of sacrifice, I mean these are people who could have gone and made millions in the City, but have actually gone to make, you know, a hundred thousand as a cabinet minister. And so I think they find it quite difficult to understand why some of these captains of industries can't also, kind of, make some kind of sacrifice..."

It's so good of them isn't it?

Song for the day - The Who, 'Won't get fooled again' from the 1971 album Who's Next... though I'm rather afraid that we will...
